Hello, I am Mary Common, welcome to my website.

Crossview is a small show kennel situated at Crossdykes Farm in the rolling hills of Dumfriesshire in Southern Scotland. My husband Allan and son Billy farm South Country Cheviot sheep and Pedigree Limousin cattle.

My dogs are family pets first and foremost and breeding for temperament is paramount.

My love of Goldens began back in 1986 when I purchased Allgold Honey as a pet.  After a lot of persuasion from a friend Honey and I started our show career.  We had a lot of success and fun along the way, dabbling in obedience and agility.  The bug had bitten as they say, and along came Amirene Angelena.  Sadly Lena didn’t take to showing but made a lovely mother.  Rainscourt Wisp was next to join us and lived till he was 14 years old and had a varied show career.

In 1993 Marjamez Femme Fatale JW (Shelley) joined us and she is the back bone of today’s Crossview Retrievers.  Gaining her JW was a thrill and when her daughter C. Strikes Again JW (Shirin) did the same we were on our way.

The family began to grow, with Shirin's first litter to Flyngalee Mtoto producing C. Star Attraction (Star) and a repeat mating with Mtoto produced Ned/Lux Sh.Ch.Crossview Raonull Gille (Cross).  Watching him win at the World Winner Show (Amsterdam) in 2002 was such a thrill for me and the late Doreen McCormack who owned Mtoto.

Shelley's second litter to Moondust After All at Garbank Lislone (Imp) produced C. Sweet Admiration (Sally).  Sally went on to have a litter by Marjamez  Midas Touch and gave me C. Skye Aura (Skye). Skye was mated to Baricia Bobby Dazzler JW and my C. Savannah Ayre JW(Suzie).

In 2007 Skye was mated to Sh Ch Summeramba Stilton JW, and C. Summer Affair (Summer) joined the family.
